This small 3 bed/1.5 bath home was just... blah. Can't remember much about it. However, the best part was taking turns with my husband seeing the house. The agent, who was about 15 years old, asked him if he liked the house. Husband said no, because it was too small and too expensive for the square footage. He said we just came from a house in Sherman Oaks that was around $300 sq. ft. and when he asked the agent how much the house was per square foot, the agent didn't know.

When the agent doubted him on the too expensive claim, he pulled out his calculator and they did the math right there... Turned out, yes the house was expensive at $490 sq. ft. He then asked if we were working with an agent (yes we are). He then asked (no joke) if we would leave our agent and sign with him if he guaranteed something or other. My husband said no and walked out.

Incidentally, when I walked through the house, the same agent also cornered me to ask about the house. When I asked what school district it was in, the agent didn't know what the name of the school was. Brillant.

This spacious 3 bed/3.5 bath home was...ok. It's stuck in the 1980s with its stained light blue carpet, outdated kitchen and bathrooms, and intercom system. It would take around $100,000 to get it into good shape, and at the current asking price, that puts it at over $1m. What we really didn't like about the house was the lack of backyard. One could put $500,000 into the house and make it gorgeous. But, it can never have a backyard, which is a sad shame.
