MLS#09-357317
The downstairs rooms were very compartmentalized, the kitchen was the size of our current kitchen IN OUR APARTMENT, it had low ceilings, one of the bedroom windows looked into the neighbor's bedroom windows, and the back yard had too many landings with too many concrete and brick walkways/steps—not kid-friendly. The house was photographed extremely well.

UPDATE: On 4/26/09 we were down the street looking at a different open house so I took the opportunity and went inside for myself. It wasn't as bad as I had expected. The photographs make it look much worse. But it's still an overpriced dud. There's a concrete landing strip of a usable backyard — the rest is steep hillside. There's no front yard to speak of. Owners: It's obviously not going to sell at your current (nearly $1.1M) asking price. Save yourself some time and lower your price to at least below $1M. That way it will appear on more people's house searches. That, and it's SO not worth $1.1M.

I knew I would hate it and didn't bother seeing it, so my wonderful husband did the honors. He said it wasn't worth what they're asking for it. He said it needed a few hundred thousand dollars to make it livable (rip out carpeting and put hardwood floors throughout entire house, re-do kitchen, etc...)

The house is essentially one stunning living room with three "bedrooms" attached as an after thought. Bedrooms is in quotes since two of the bedrooms aren't large enough to put a bed in. There was also an awkwardly placed kitchen and the weird swinging hot tub in the bathroom off the living room.
